Hello everyone! It's springtime in Utah, which means schizophrenic weather. This morning it was pouring rain and now it's beautiful outside. I am really getting anxious for summer... We have a lot of things planned. First off, we're officially blessing Mylan on the 20th if June. Both of our families will be here, and hopefully we'll see some friends as well. The Humpherys family is planning a weekend trip in Park City in June, and then there is also the annual Wisconsin trip with the Pales' in July. A lot of fun planned. But our biggest news is that we are probably going to be taking an extended trip (for 3 months) to Hong Kong for Tim's job. They're still working out the details, but it looks like we'll probably be heading to Hong Kong in late July. We're really excited for this opportunity... Well, let me re-phrase... Tim is beside himself excited, and I'm warming up to the idea. haha. Honestly I was a bit anxious about it at first, but starting to get excited for a new adventure. When we get the final go ahead and all the details are ironed out, we'll give you more info. :)
Mylan is doing fantastic! We just took him to his 2 month doctor's appointment yesterday. Boy is he thriving! He's gained quite a bit of weight since he was born. He tipped the scales at 11 lbs 10 ounces! that's 5 pounds since we left the hospital after he was born! He's in the 52nd percentile for weight and about the same for length, so he's right on track. His head is in the 81st percentile though... haha. Gotta make room for that huge brain right? The doctor said his neck strength is that of a 4 month old, so he's a strong little tike and might be rolling over soon.. The shots were heartbreaking. Poor little guy felt awful all day. That's the hardest part about being a mom is seeing your baby in pain. He was pretty brave though. He's beginning to sleep for longer stretches of time, which is wonderful for us... The last week and a half he's really started smiling more, which is my favorite and so rewarding! It makes all the hard stuff worth it when your little boy looks at you in the eye and smiles. Can't wait for the giggles! :)
We're looking forward to seeing many of you in the coming months! Hope all is well. Will blog again soon!
Love you all!
Janessa, Tim, and Mylan
