Introduction to "US"

Hello Everyone!

This is our first official blog! Not quite sure what we're doing yet, but we're bound to figure it out eventually. Since neither of us are very good at keeping in touch with everyone we thought we'd try this out!

We've been married for around 7 and 1/2 months now! It's gone by so fast. For those of you who don't know, or don't remember... we got married December 29th 2007 in the Idaho Falls Temple, and have made our home in Springville Utah. We bought a really nice 3 bedroom condo down here and we absolutely love it! We plan on being here at least until Tim is done with school, and then who knows where from there. He has 3 semesters left... (We hope!) :)

As far as exciting news, well in May we went to Kauai in the Hawaiian Islands for a vacation. It was technically our honeymoon since we didn't get to have much of one after our nuptials. Kauai was absolutely beautiful and the perfect vacation. We went snorkeling, hiking, swam in the ocean, took a sweet helicopter ride, got massages, ate lots of awesome food.... and so many other fun things. It was the perfect vacation... Can't wait to go back!

As for other news... we have two new additions to our family. Their names are Elway and McCaffrey. (We have a theme going here i think ;) They're our two kittens! Elway is about 6 months old and Mac (that's his nick name) is about 3 months old and still tiny. They're adorable. We love being cat owners!

Let's see... We've starting doing a Real Estate Coaching program that Prosper (the company Janessa works for, and Tim used to work there too) provides. Basically we're learning from the best of the best in Real Estate. He's our mentor and is teaching us all the creative strategies and techniques we need to know to become Guru's someday. :) We think it will be great experience and hopefully very profitable for us. We made our first offer yesterday... We'll keep you updated on our progress.

We've also managed to do a little bit more traveling over the summer. We spent the 4th of July with Dave & Julie (mom and dad Humpherys) We watched the famous Idaho Falls fireworks and then spent a day up in Yellowstone Park. Beautiful country. Also we spent a week up in Wisconsin with Grandma and Grandpa Pales at their beautiful Lakehouse. We got to spend some quality time with a lot of the Pales clan. It was absolutely beautiful up there! Another great vacation!

Now that the summer is nearing it's end, Tim is getting ready to go back to school. He also got a new job that has a lot of potential for him to use his Chinese and advance in a growing company. So far he likes it and is anxious to move up. Janessa is still working for Prosper in Quality Assurance. She's slowly getting promoted to a higher position. She writes curriculum for and gives several of the corporate trainings for the company. Supposedly a raise is in the works, but we're still waiting to see if that's true.

Well I think that's a good update for now. We'll try to update this thing every so often, and keep updated pictures on here as well. Feel free to comment!

Love to you all,

Timothy & Janessa

Hey there!

It sounds like you two have been having some fun and are enjoying life. That's good. We just found ourselves a basement apartment for the time being. We are very excited. But, if you've checked out our blog you probably already know that.
